Graduate Quality and Compliance
Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Graduate Quality and Compliance Specialist to join our team. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in quality assurance and compliance within the construction and utilities sector. You will work closely with project teams, management, and clients to ensure that all operations adhere to industry standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Assurance: Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Support the development and implementation of quality control plans. Monitor and document compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements. Assist in identifying and resolving quality issues on projects.
Compliance Management: Ensure all projects meet statutory regulations, codes of practice, and safety requirements. Participate in audits and assessments to evaluate compliance performance. Prepare and maintain accurate compliance reports and records. Assist with incident investigations and follow-up on corrective actions.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with teams to identify areas for improvement in quality and compliance processes. Support the rollout of new initiatives and best practices across the business. Provide recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Training and Communication: Assist in delivering quality and compliance training sessions to employees and subcontractors. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to standards. Ensure effective communication of quality and compliance objectives to all stakeholders.
Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inspections, audits, and compliance checks. Compile and submit timely reports on project performance and compliance status. Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality and compliance.
Skills and Experience:
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., Construction, Engineering, Quality Management, or Compliance).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality assurance principles, standards, and methodologies.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commitment to upholding safety and compliance standards.
- Full UK driving license.
Desirable Qualifications
- Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
- Understanding of construction and utilities industry regulations.
- Experience with audit processes and documentation.
- NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
- Familiarity with project management or compliance software.
