Designer
OCU Group has experienced continued growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector. As a result of our ongoing project successes, we are now looking for a skilled designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Carryout upfront site surveys
- Carryout desktop study requirements
- Obtaining utility drawings and using clients GIS systems
- Produce PowerPoint presentations / Feasibility reports
- Produce Detail Design drawings on AutoCAD
- Produce Design Risk assessments.
- Produce material lists based on detail designs produced.
- Produce Design changes as required
- Preparing site handover and completion packages.
- Attend meetings both internally and with clients.
- Update design manager or PD on progress of projects
Skills & Experience
- Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Engineering. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
- Can use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook programmes
- Competent using AutoCAD LT 2D
- Awareness of CDM 2015
- Have some knowledge of water / utility industry essential
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Full driving licence essential
