Senior Authorised Person
Role Overview
As a Senior Authorised Person (SAP), you will hold a critical role in ensuring the safe operation and maintenance of high voltage electrical systems within the organisation. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of electrical switching operations, as well as providing technical expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.

Experience you need to be considered:
- Qualified Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with extensive experience in high voltage electrical systems (DNO Preferred) operation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations, standards, and best practices, with a focus on high voltage switching operations and electrical safety rules.
- Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and executing electrical switching operations for high voltage equipment, including substations, switchgear, and transformers.
- Technical expertise in high voltage electrical systems, equipment, and protective devices, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and anomalies and implement corrective actions.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field, with additional certifications such as HV Authorised Person (HVAP), HV Switching Operations, or HV Safety Rules is essential.
- Previous experience in a senior role within the utilities, energy, or industrial sector is highly desirable.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels and convey technical information clearly and concisely.
- Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to lead teams, manage priorities, and make sound judgments in high-pressure situations.
