An exciting and newly created opportunity has come up at OCU for a Platform Process Manager to come and join us based in Preston. This is a pivotal new role within a forward-thinking and rapidly evolving organisation, you will help shape how
key digital platforms deliver value beyond go-live, with influence over how they are governed, evolved and adopted across the business.
You will play a strategic role in the ongoing success of OCU’s Workforce and Automation Platforms. The role focuses on embedding and evolving these platforms beyond initial process, ensuring that capability releases are aligned to business priorities and operationalised effectively. It combines elements of governance, iterative change, stakeholder alignment, and roadmap planning within a fast paced and transformative environment.
If you’re driven by outcomes, thrive in structured environments, and enjoy making technology truly work for its users, this role is for you!
About the Role
You will sit on the platform Design Authority (DA) forums, manage configuration reviews and capability pipelines, and coordinate small, frequent automation releases. This opportunity will ensure process changes are well-governed, understood and embedded into everyday operations. Bridging the gap between digital capability and business value.
- You will lead roadmap planning and iterative capability across Workforce and Automation platforms; clearly articulating process improvements.
• Participate in and coordinate Design Authority (DA) forums, CABs and change control processes
• Align platform decisions with operational needs and business objectives - Engage with SMEs, platform users, and business units to drive adoption and maximise value
Key skills and requirements
The ideal candidate may come from an operational, digital, or PMO background but must be able to organise effectively, drive process change, and work collaboratively across distributed teams. External supplier management is not a core aspect of this role; however, coordinating between on-site and remote internal delivery teams is crucial.
- Proven experience in digital operations, platform delivery aligned to business processes or change management within a complex environment driving transformation.
• Strong understanding of iterative development and continuous improvement cycles
• Excellent organisational and communication skills, and able to drive decisions across business and technical teams
• Familiarity with digital platforms used for workforce management or process automation
• Comfortable managing stakeholder forums, capability roadmaps, and operational
