Project Manager
AS OCU continues on a journey of substantial growth, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to come and join us based in Perthshire!
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Electrical Project Manager to join our team and oversee the successful delivery of electrical projects from inception to completion. The Electrical Project Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing electrical projects while ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budgetary constraints. This role requires strong leadership, project management skills, and technical expertise in electrical engineering.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage electrical projects, including new installations, upgrades, renovations, and maintenance projects, from initial planning through to final handover.
- Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope, objectives, and requirements, and develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate project feasibility, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Procure electrical materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relationships to ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate and oversee the work of internal and external project teams, including electricians, technicians, and subcontractors, to ensure efficient project execution and quality workmanship.
- Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and manage project risks and issues, implementing corrective actions as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and expenditures, ensuring cost control and profitability while delivering projects within budgetary constraints.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, promoting a safe working environment and implementing safety protocols and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project management within the electrical industry, with a track record of successfully delivering electrical projects on time and within budget.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks, manage resources, and mitigate project risks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and project teams at all levels.
- Commitment to quality, safety, and customer satisfaction, with a focus on delivering high-quality electrical projects that exceed client expectations.
