Join OCU Group and step into a career-defining role where your expertise in CIS, leadership and innovation will shape the future of our finance operations.We’re searching for a driven, detail-focused and dynamic Subcontractor Payments Team Manager to lead a high-performing finance team responsible for subcontractor payments, CIS deductions, and group expense reimbursements. This is a key leadership role in our Finance Shared Services division – one that demands experience, autonomy, and a passion for continuous improvement.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead & Inspire two high-performing finance teams (10+ staff) across CIS and accounts payable
- Drive Operational Excellence – ensure timely and accurate subcontractor certificates, payments and deductions
- Champion Compliance with HMRC CIS legislation and internal controls
- Collaborate Across the Business – work with Quantity Surveyors, Project Managers and site teams to align finance and field ops
- Streamline & Innovate – automate legacy processes, adopt a ‘management by exception’ model, and modernise reporting
- Own Team Development – from onboarding to performance reviews and coaching, you’ll shape your team’s journey
- Solve Complex Queries – be the final stop for CIS-related issues, reconciliation discrepancies, or escalations
- Support Month-End Close with reconciliations, accruals and reporting activities
Who We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years AP leadership experience in construction or high-volume environments
- CIS expert with a strong grasp of what’s in/out of scope and HMRC compliance
- Confident communicator & motivator – someone who brings people with them
- Hands-on with systems – ideally D365 F&O and Excel-savvy
- Solutions-focused mindset – always looking for a better way
- Calm under pressure, excellent at managing multiple priorities
- A true leader – someone your team trusts, respects, and learns from
