Assurance & Compliance Coordinator

OCU Connect are looking for an experienced Assurance & Compliance Coordinator to join the team based in Glasgow.
The Assurance and Compliance Co-ordinator will sit within the Operations Support team and report directly to the Assurance and Compliance Manager. The role requires experience in the use of assurance processes to drive efficiency and ensure adherence to relevant industry standards.
Responsibilities
Software Management: Use a variety of document and information management systems (including V4P, SharePoint, and Autodesk) to ensure documentation is stored in a structured, consistent, and accessible manner.
Compliance: Support Assurance and Compliance Manager in ensuring all assurance control processes comply with industry standards and regulatory requirement.
Quality Assurance: Maintain high standards of document quality and accuracy.
Progressive Assurance: Actively monitoring, collating, and tracking assurance documentation throughout each stage of the multiple, ongoing project lifecycles. Ensuring that all relevant records are accurately maintained and readily accessible
Client submission support: Facilitating the preparation of Health and Safety Files across all projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal governance requirements. Coordinate timely submission of assurance deliverables to clients.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with project teams and contractors, working in collaboration with various departments to ensure consistent quality practices.
Risk Management: Assist in preparing audit, assurance, and other compliance reports, clearly communicating findings to the Assurance and Compliance Manager.
Support: Provide ongoing support to the Project teams and other departments when requested by Assurance and Compliance Manager.
Reporting and communication: Support in preparing reports (e.g. audit reports, assurance reports etc) and communicating findings to Assurance and Compliance Manager.
Staying current with industry trends and best practices: Regularly reviewing updates to regulations, standards, and technologies related to quality assurance.
Qualifications and experiences:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Assurance and Compliance role within the engineering and construction industry.
Experience with document management systems (such as Viewpoint for Projects, Autodesk, ProjectWise)
Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel)
Proven track record of continuously improving assurance and compliance control processes by adopting progressive assurance.
Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion.
Proactive mindset with the confidence to speak up, challenge existing practices, and highlight opportunities for improvement
Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements.
