Graduate Electrical Project Engineer - OCU Integrum
Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Graduate Electrical Project Engineer to join our team. As an apprentice, you will receive comprehensive training and development while working alongside experienced engineers to support the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical power networks within the renewable energy sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual keen to develop their skills in electrical power networks, particularly focusing on high-voltage and low-voltage infrastructure in renewable energy projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Support: Assist in managing the project lifecycle, from engaging with clients to delivering and handing over projects with a focus on quality and efficiency. Support the planning and scheduling of project activities to ensure timely delivery. Collaborate with engineers and project leads to ensure alignment of design and execution stages.
- Project Delivery: Contribute to the delivery of projects, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. Assist in the preparation and review of project documentation, including reports and compliance records. Work with site teams to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Team Collaboration and Communication: Support site teams in promoting a culture of safety and excellence. Facilitate clear communication between project teams, clients, and stakeholders. Provide regular updates and feedback to project leads on progress and challenges.
- Representation and Business Development: Represent the business professionally when dealing with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders. Assist in business development activities, contributing ideas and support to enhance project opportunities.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (recent graduates or those with limited experience are encouraged to apply).
- Basic understanding of UK regulations and standards related to energy infrastructure or construction projects.
- Eagerness to learn and develop engineering design and project management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Awareness of health, safety, and environmental considerations in construction projects (training will be provided).
