Quality Advisor - Moray
Role Overview
The Quality Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that all products and services meet the established standards of quality, including reliability, usability, and performance. This role involves monitoring and advising on the performance of the quality management system, producing data and reporting on performance, and measuring against set standards.
Duties and Responsibilities
Quality Management Systems (QMS):
- Develop, implement, and maintain the company’s quality management systems.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to QMS procedures and processes.
Compliance and Regulations:
- Keep up to date with national and international standards and legislation.
- Ensure products and services meet customer and legal requirements.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities.
Continuous Improvement:
- Identify areas for improvement in the quality management system.
- Lead and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the organisation.
Training and Development:
- Provide training on quality assurance and control processes.
- Develop training materials and conduct workshops for staff.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate quality documentation and records.
- Prepare and present quality reports and data analysis to management.
- Investigate and document customer complaints and non-conformance issues.
Supplier and Customer Relations:
- Evaluate and monitor supplier performance.
- Work closely with suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues regarding quality.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in quality management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CQI, Six Sigma, ISO Lead Auditor) are highly desirable.
- Proven experience in a quality assurance or quality control role.
- Experience with quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using quality management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
