Group Procurement Data Manager

We’re looking for a Group Procurement Data Manager to join our team and take ownership of procurement and payment data across the business. This role is key to ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and quality, supporting informed decision-making and driving continuous improvement.
This role is based in our UK Head Office of Stockport.
This is an important and varied role within our fast growing business. Some of the key responsibilities/tasks of this role are as follows -
Data Validation and Integrity
- Conduct regular audits of procurement and payment data to identify and resolve inconsistencies, errors, and omissions.
- Reconcile discrepancies between purchase orders, invoices, goods receipts, and payment records.
- Maintain vendor master data accuracy, ensuring compliance with company policies for new setups and changes.
Reporting and Analysis
- Generate and distribute standard and ad-hoc reports and dashboards to monitor KPIs such as spend patterns, payment accuracy, and processing cycle times.
- Perform spend analysis to identify cost optimization opportunities and ensure data quality in financial reporting.
- Conduct quality checks on purchase orders to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Present findings and actionable insights to Procurement and Finance leadership.
System and Process Improvement
- Identify and investigate root causes of data quality issues; collaborate with teams to implement corrective actions.
- Support the optimization and maintenance of procurement and payment systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics D365).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to standardize data entry procedures and enhance governance policies.
Team Support and Compliance
- Serve as a data subject matter expert, advising the Procurement team on best practices in data management.
- Ensure all data activities and reporting comply with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in data analysis, ideally within Procurement or Accounts Payable.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data modelling).
- Experience with ERP systems (D365, SAP, Oracle, Viewpoint).
- Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau.
