Commissioner/Chlorinator (Water)
Throughout 2025, OCU Group has been experiencing a sustained period of growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector. Due to this and our continued work winning success, we currently have an opportunity for a Commissioner/Chlorinator to join us out of Bridgend or Deeside.
You’ll be responsible for carrying out essential clean water mains activities, including chlorination, pressure testing, sampling, flushing, swabbing, and de-chlorination. All work must be completed in full compliance with Water Regulations, Health & Safety requirements, and company procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
Completing accurate and timely documentation
Checking, maintaining, and safely operating equipment
Working closely with site teams, supervisors, and contractors
Supporting additional operational tasks as required
Keeping a clean and hygienic work space.
About You
· Strong understanding of hydraulic pressure & Chlorination equipment essential.
· Previous experience in mains laying and service connections is preferred.
Training in mains disinfection and sample collection preferred
· Working knowledge of small and large diameter systems
You’ll need:
A full, valid UK driving licence
A positive, can-do attitude and a strong team ethic
The confidence to work independently when required
A clear commitment to safe working practices
Excellent hygiene practices
· Attention to detail is essential, as the role involves following set processes and delivering consistently high-quality results.
Ideally, you’ll already hold relevant industry certifications, such as:
EUSR Water Hygiene card
SHEA Water certification
EUSR Pressure Testing and Chlorination
