Site Supervisor

OCU Group is looking for experienced Site Supervisors to work on Power projects in Moray & Elgin.
A Site Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
Duties and Responsibilities
Supervision: Oversee day-to-day operations at the construction site, ensuring adherence to plans, specifications, and safety standards.
Coordination: Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth progress of the project.
Quality Control: Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations.
Safety: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
Progress Reporting: Keep accurate records of work progress, materials used, and any issues encountered. Provide regular updates to project managers and stakeholders.
Problem-solving: Identify and address any issues or conflicts that arise during construction, finding solutions to keep the project on track.
Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of the site to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and project specifications.
Team Management: Supervise and coordinate the activities of site workers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Cost Control: Monitor project expenses and ensure resources are used efficiently to stay within budget.
Client Relations: Maintain positive relationships with clients, addressing any concerns or requests promptly and professionally.
Skills and Experience
Previous experience in construction, preferably in a supervisory role.
Technical Knowledge: Understanding of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
Health and Safety: Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with team members, contractors, and clients.
Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions to overcome them.
Organizational Skills: Excellent organization and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure work meets quality standards and specifications.
Leadership Abilities: Ability to lead and motivate a team, while also working collaboratively with others.
Qualifications: A relevant qualification in construction management or a related field may be preferred but not always required, depending on experience.
